Please note that our Daily Tours are operated as small groups,

 usually with less than 12 participants.

 

 

 “HISTORICAL ISTANBUL”

9 AM  - 5 PM (Approx.)  

 

Visit the heart of the Old City, from where the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires were ruled. The BLUE MOSQUE; famous for its magnificent interior lined with more than 20,000 colorful “blue” Iznik tiles, and unique with its 6 minarets. The HIPPODROME; the center of ancient political & sports activities during the Roman period from the 3rd Century.

The St. SOPHIA MUSEUM; a masterpiece of Byzantine architecture, reconstructed in 536 AD by Emperor Justinian. (Second Floor is excluded; entrance to the Second Floor requires additional $10 fee; tickets may be purchased in the Museum). (closed on Mondays; replaced with visit to the St.Chora Museum).

The TOPKAPI PALACE; the Imperial Residence of the Ottoman Sultans for nearly four centuries till 1856 AD. (Topkapi Palace Harem and Treasury sections are excluded; entrance to these sections may require additional entrance fee of $10 each; tickets may be purchased in the Palace). (closed on Tuesdays; replaced with visit to the Archaeological Museum).

Then tour the majestic SULEYMANIYE MOSQUE built by the famous architect, Sinan the Great, and then visit the GRAND COVERED BAZAAR; the most fascinating and crowded shopping center in the World, with nearly 4000 shops, selling mostly jewelry, artifacts, carpets and leather goods (closed on Sundays).

“BOSPHORUS & ASIA”

9 AM  - 5 PM (Approx.), Except Mondays & Thursdays

After a short visit to smell the exotic aromas of the EGYPTIAN SPICE MARKET (closed on Sundays), enjoy the BOSPHORUS FERRY BOAT TOUR, viewing the picturesque beauty of the European and Asian shorelines on each side of this World-renowned strait, and see the RUMELIHISAR FORTRESS.

After lunch, cross the BOSPHORUS BRIDGE to the Asian side to visit CAMLICA HILL (or NAKKAS HILL) to observe the best panoramic view of Istanbul, and then tour the BEYLERBEYI PALACE, the summer residence of the Ottoman Sultans, with its original furniture and magnificent gardens. (occasionally the BEYLERBEYI visit may be replaced with a visit to the DOLMABAHCE PALACE).

“DOLMABAHCE & GOLDEN HORN”

10 AM  - 5 PM (Approx.), Except Mondays & Thursdays

Morning visit to the DOLMABAHCE PALACE, the last residence of Ottoman Sultans, with its 365 rooms and 22 saloons, including Sultans’ Harem, a great collection of antiques, furniture, and a 4.5 ton chandelier.

After lunch, drive along the GOLDEN HORN, tour the “ST. SAVIOR” Church in CHORA (closed on Wednesdays; replaced with EYUP MOSQUE), see the impressive CITY WALLS, and then enjoy your afternoon tea at the PIERRE LOTI CAFE

“Half-Day BOSPHORUS”

9 AM - 1 PM (Approx.)

After a visit of the EGYPTIAN SPICE MARKET (closed on Sundays), enjoy the BOSPHORUS FERRY BOAT TOUR, viewing the picturesque beauty of the European and Asian shorelines on each side of this World-renowned strait, and see the RUMELIHISAR FORTRESS. Disembark and transfer back to your hotel.

Half Day,  (without Lunch), $60 per person, MINIMUM 2 PARTICIPANTS


“JEWISH HERITAGE”

9 AM - 1 PM (Approx.), Monday thru Friday

 

Drive through the old Jewish neighborhood GALATA. Visit the most prestigious synagogues of the city, NEVE-SHALOM and ASHKENAZY. Then drive along the Golden Horn and through BALAT, Istanbul’s first Jewish settlement. Visit the AHRIDA SYNAGOGUE (built in the 15th Century), the OR-AHAYIM JEWISH HOSPITAL in Balat, then the JEWISH CEMETERY at Ulus District, and the ETZ-AHAYIM SYNAGOGUE and ORTAKOY neighborhoods, before returning to your hotel.

 

(All synagogue visits require advance permission from the officials. 

You are also required to carry and present your passports for these visits).

 

Excluding Lunch, $120 per person, MINIMUM 2 PARTICIPANTS 

“TURKISH NIGHT OUT”

8 PM - 11:30 PM (Approx.)

After a short drive, you will arrive at one of the popular night-clubs of the city. You will be able to taste various kinds of excellent Turkish foods and local wines (First drinks are included). While dining, enjoy a spectacular ORIENTAL FLOOR SHOW, performed by belly dancers, folk groups from different regions of Anatolia, and Turkish singers.  Then transfer back to your hotel.

$90 per person, MINIMUM 2 PARTICIPANTS 

“BURSA”

8:30 AM  - 7 PM (Approx.) 

Depart Istanbul, cross to YALOVA by ferry boat, and drive onto BURSA, the first capital of the Ottomans and a major spa center. Visit historic COVERED BAZAAR and OLD SILK MARKET. After lunch at a famous Bursa KEBAB house, visit Ottoman Complex touring the GRAND MOSQUE, the GREEN MOSQUE, the GREEN MAUSOLEUM, and other tombs of nobility. Late evening return to your hotel in Istanbul.
